Project Objective:
To develop a design that connected two parts together with reasonable tolerances.
Interested in taking this project further, I extended the meaning of "connection" to the sense of togetherness felt by a gift that "knows" the recipient well.
Inspired by the warm material choices of midcentury modern and the exciting mystery around puzzle boxes, I came up with this gift box. Here, the ring, usually a symbol of unity, literally holds the sliding doors closed.
